Location release

The one page a venue signs after booking. Nothing to sign here: this is a copy to read first.
Between Alex Example, sole trader, Lakeview (the Producer) and the location named below (the Location).
  1. Permission. The Location gives the Producer permission to film at the premises named below at the booked date and time, and to bring in its participants and equipment, a ring of small tripods with cameras, and a handheld camera.
  2. Purpose. The recordings go to the technology company the session is run for (the Client) and may be used, including views of the premises, interiors and signage, for research and development of computer vision and related software by the Client, any future owner of its business, and anyone the Client shares them with for the research, worldwide and without time limit. The recordings are research material for the Client's software development. They are not made for publication, broadcast or advertising, and the Location will not be named publicly in connection with them.
  3. Fee. The Location's fee for the session is as agreed between the Location and the Producer. It covers this permission and the use of the space. Nothing further is payable by either side.
  4. Care of the premises. Nothing is fixed to the building. The Producer leaves the space as it was found and is responsible for any damage caused by its participants or equipment. Public liability insurance is held for this work.
  5. People. Only the Producer's own participants appear on camera. The Location does not need to provide anyone. If Location staff choose to take part, they sign the Producer's filming release and are paid for their time.
  6. Changes. Either side may move or cancel the session by letting the other know as early as possible. If the Location can no longer host, no fee is payable and nothing else is owed by either side.
  7. Confidentiality. The Location will keep the details of the filming, the equipment and the Producer's methods confidential. This is for the benefit of the Producer and the Client, either of whom may enforce it.
  8. Release. The Location releases the Producer and the Client from any claims arising from use of the recordings in accordance with this release.
  9. Authority and law. The person signing confirms they are authorised to give this permission on behalf of the Location and that the Location is entitled to allow filming at the premises. This release is governed by New Zealand law.
